“With this exhibition, we want to showcase the thoughts, feelings, and experiences we've gathered during our time together in the art collective Backyard Studios at Nøstet. We were strangers when we first moved in together, but over the past year, we've experienced the beginning of a deep friendship. Through long philosophical lunches, eventful evenings, and intense painting sessions, we have learned much about ourselves and each other. A recurring theme in our conversations and the paintings we've created is our shared fascination with the human condition.”
The paintings in this exhibition reflect these themes. Bjors work uses a mix of bold colors and contrasting tones to explore different emotional states, highlighting how people often experience complex feelings at the same time. His focus on layering and texture gives depth to his paintings, making the emotions they represent more tangible. This technique also connects to his interest in how people navigate the challenges of relationships, identity, and personal growth. Throughout the exhibition, you will see how Bjor’s art visualizes these everyday human experiences in a relatable and accessible way.
